Ruth Cancio is an experimental abstract expressionist based in the Philippines who creates paintings with layered textured, organic forms, multi-dimensional surfaces, and gold leaf. Her works move between vibrant and muted tones, creating feelings of joy, contemplation, and quiet presence.
Her process is both intuitive and intentional. She allows spontaneous marks and textures to develop while carefully considering light, shadow, color and space to create balance and movement.
